Can somebody tell me why a person would want to snort, drink or shoot up bath salts? If that’s not crazy enough, it looks like these salts are causing people to become real life zombies.  It happened in Florida, and now it's here in Louisiana!

Speaking of which, reminiscent of the “Miami Zombie” incident that took place just last month, a 43-year-old Lafayette Parish man was arrested over the weekend for attacking his neighbor!  According to local police, it went down in Scott, La. and started “over a domestic issue” when a man by the name of Carl Jacquneaux arrived at the home of Todd Credeur and began assaulting him.  During the scuffle, Jacquneaux allegedly bit off “a chunk” of the man's face.  Reportedly, to make him stop, Credeur had to spray him in the face with wasp spray.

Oddly, it doesn’t stop there.  Officers later caught up with Jacquneaux in Carencro.  Turns out he was at the home of another acquaintance of his whom he was holding hostage!  Scott Assistant Police Chief Kert Thomas told the press that this was “Very unusual, it’s not something we see everyday.”  You think?   By the way, Jacquneaux had in his possession a knife and a stolen gun.

So what’s the deal?  According to sheriff’s deputies, Carl Jacquneaux was “under the influence of some kind of drug” at the time of the attack.  As a matter of fact, a friend of Todd Credeur said that drug was bath salts, the same exact substance linked to the now-infamous Miami attack.  It should be noted that for at least right now that’s hearsay, because a blood test hasn’t been done on Jacquneaux to prove that claim as of yet.

Jacquneaux was booked into Lafayette Parish Jail on multiple charges of battery and burglary, as well as violation of probation. Credeur was treated at a local hospital and then released to recover at home.

COME ON PEOPLE, JUST SAY NO!
