Boasted as the oldest and coldest festival in Louisiana is back everybody! The 2022 Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival is set to begin this Friday night and run through Saturday night here in Lake Charles.

On Friday evening, January 7th will feature dog trails and a carnival with rides and food booths. There is no admission on Friday and the gates open at 5:00 pm and close at 10:00 pm.

Then get ready for an all-day event on Saturday, January 8th with live entertainment all day long starting at 1:00 pm and going through 11:30 pm that night inside the Burton Coliseum.

The entertainment and events lineup for this Saturday, January 7th for the Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival goes like this:

6:30 am     Cooks Allowed into Burton Livestock/Exhibit Barn Area 

(Gumbo Cook-Off Only)

7:00 am     Fur Festival 5k Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk (Late Registration)

8:00 am    5K Run/1Mile Race and Walk Begin at Lake Charles Airport Area

9:00 am to 4:00 pm    Antique Vehicles Showcase - Free Admission

9:00 am.    Gates Open - Burton Complex

                   Admission $15.00 per person/Children 12 & Under Free
