Hard to believe that it's been 30 years since Steel Magnolias was introduced to the world.

The film is highly regarded as a true film classic, even thirty years after it's release. Now, to celebrate the milestone, the film will be shown this weekend nationwide at select theaters.

Of course, for those who are unaware, the classic film was shot right here in Louisiana. Natchitoches to be exact, and the city still sees plenty of tourism roll through town so film lovers can get a little closer to the magic captured on screen thirty years ago.

Technically, the film officially turns thirty in November, but this weekend you can see it in theaters in Baton Rouge, as well as nationwide at select theaters.

Once November rolls around, the film will once again hit theaters so if you love the film but can't make it to a showing theater this weekend, make plans to watch it later this year.
