Local Artist Ariel Liehe Will Have Paintings Showcase In Lake Charles
A Couple of weeks ago my wife and I were at Tad's having a little something for dinner and our waitress was a young lady who was very prompt and attentive to our needs the entire evening. Before we got ready to leave, she told us about a showcase that she would be doing to display some of her artwork later this month.
As we began to talk, she mentioned the importance of the work to her, and how she got started. We traded information, and I told her I wanted to help get the word out about her talents.
I had a discussion with her later and asked her how she got started doing the abstract art, and she was more than happy to enlighten me on her story. Ariel explained that she had gone through a breakup with her long-term boyfriend, and it left her in a very dark place. This is something many people deal with, but unfortunately many don't understand what they need to do to get out of those places. That's not the case for Ariel as she turned to painting again. She started younger in life, and with most people when it comes to their lives, she got busy.
Ariel Liehe will be highlighting some of her paintings on Sunday, January 30 from 10 a.m- 2 p.m, as well as a meet and greet. The event is a family-friendly event and will be during the time of brunch at Meek's Lounge 409 West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles. There will ve free food and drinks available and live music as well. There will also be a raffle for an original art piece valued at $300.00. If you would like to see some of her current pieces before the showcase. You can visit her Instagram page here.
