Light Up The Lake Is This Saturday, Dec. 4 In Lake Charles
Are you ready to get into the holiday spirit? Looking for something to do with the kids and the family? Well then make plans for this Saturday to be in downtown Lake Charles for the annual Light Up The Lake celebration.
Starting at 8:30 am this Saturday, December 4th you can meet up with Santa at the Arcade Pavilion on the grounds of the Lake Charles Civic Center for the hot chocolate run with the jolly man himself.
Starting at 3:00 pm, join Santa for his Santa's workshop at the arcade amphitheater where they will have a bunch of children’s activities and family fun. They will also have food trucks and live entertainment during this time.
Get ready as the St. Louis high school Show Choir will perform at 4:00 pm followed by the Lake Charles Community Band starting at 5:00 pm. Like the show the Nutcracker? Snippets of the Nutcracker will be performed by the Lake Area Ballet Theatre starting at 6:00 pm.
When you attend, all children from ages 3 to 12 will receive a Christmas stocking full of goodies.
Then at 7:30 pm, the events move to the front of the Lake Charles Civic Center where Mayor Nic Hunter will lead the light ceremony and Light Up the Lake. Fireworks will then follow starting at 8:30 pm.
If you plan to attend, you are allowed to bring your lawn chairs or blankets. You are not allowed to have an ice chest or bring your pets.
