The Beatles music still stirs emotions, happiness and fond memories.  Nostalgia, an ever growing fan base, and careful control of merchandising has kept the value soaring for all things Beatles.  John Lennon's white suit from the Abbey Road album just sold for $46,000 at an auction in Connecticut.

The suit was custom made for Lennon by French designer Ted Lapidus.

Hank Gioiella of Darien paid $5,500 for a rusted green 1972 Chrysler station wagon Lennon and Yoko Ono owned.

Maybe I should dig through my closet and dust off my old leisure suits.  Something tells me I would be better off bringing them to the Salvation Army and taking the tax deduction for donations.
