LCPD Looking for Hit-and-Run Driver
Around 1 a.m. Saturday morning, Ty Fontenot was riding his motorcycle with some friends when he got separated from the rest of the group. It seems that Ty had stopped to help a woman whose car had broken down. From out of nowhere came a white Volvo, and it hit him. Ty says the driver backed up, but then took off into the night. This morning, everyone is looking for that hit-and-run driver.
Ty's mom, Rene, has taken to Facebook to try and track down the driver of the Volvo. The images of Ty's injuries are quite disturbing. According to Fontenot, the incident left Ty "broken and bloody." Many times, tracking down a hit-and-run driver can be a pretty much impossible task, but luck is on the side of Ty's mom and the police. A nearby businesses' security camera caught the whole thing.
Rene's original post about the crime has been shared over 3,000 times.
Recently, Rene updated her post with the following:
Update: we have a physical description and gender of the driver. Getting full numbers of temp tag. Also narrowing down make and model of White Volvo. ALL BEFORE WE ATTAIN VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AND LCPD HIT AND RUN DIV ARE SENT OUT Better turn yourself in before law enforcement comes.... but, either will work for me. #thankyouGod
