They're ready to work.

A large number of utility trucks was spotted in New Orleans today and I can only assume that they are there and ready to head west.

As Hurricane Laura approaches the Louisiana/Texas border, preparations have been underway by many agencies, departments, and companies.

Often you will see electrical companies from across a region come together in a staging area and wait out a storm. Once the storm has passed, then these trucks will move into an area to begin repairs.

It is calming to know that many are on standby and ready to respond once Laura moves out of the area.

The powerful hurricane is projected to make landfall late Wednesday night along the Texas coast and near the Louisiana border.
