Lake Charles Trash Pickup Will Be Interrupted on Good Friday
Is it us or is this year scooting by already? We are about to hit April, so the first quarter of the 2021 is already gone. Coming up this weekend will be a holiday with Good Friday on April 2 and Easter Sunday on April 4.
In Southwest Louisiana, most folks are off on Good Friday and usually get together with friends and family to have a large crawfish boil or fish fry to start the Easter weekend holiday off for the three day weekend. Because of this, most businesses and government type offices will be closed this Friday and will not reopen until Monday April 5. This is true for the city of Lake Charles.
The city will be observing the Good Friday and Easter holidays, and services that usually run will be altered for this Friday, April 2.
If you live in the city of Lake Charles and your garbage and trash is usually picked up up on Friday, it won't be this Friday. Instead, your trash will be picked up from the city on Saturday, April 3. As a reminder, you will need to have your trash container out at the end of your driveway before 7:00am the day of your scheduled pickup.
The city of Lake Charles Team Green Recycling Truck and Green Station No. 2 located on Nelson ball field will not be available on Friday, April 2, but will resume collection on Saturday, April 3. The city incinerator will also be closed this Friday, April 2.
All other city of Lake Charles departments will also be closed this Friday, April 2, and will reopen on Monday April 5. Enjoy you Easter weekend.
