KCS Holiday Express Train Stops In Southwest Louisiana Next Week

The Kansas City Southern Holiday Express will be making a stop in SWLA next week.

The Holiday Express returned to the rails last year for the first time in three years. The operation was shut down during the pandemic and it's last run was in 2019.

Bring the whole family out to see the KCS Holiday Express this year:

This is a picture of me and my kids (Elijah and Khloe) waiting in line to board the KCS Holdiay Express in 2014 at the Railroad Musuem in DeQuincy. It was so cold that day, I was miserable. I've always said that "it couldn't get cold enough in Louisiana for me to wear a jacket".  Well, that day it was, and I was the moron with no jacket trying to play tough guy, lol.

Admission and the popcorn are free, so pack up the minivan and head over to DeRidder for the KCS Holiday Express and make some awesome family memories.

The DeRidder Fire Department will also be holding a Toys for Tots donation drop-off there as well, so on your way to the train stop a buy a toy. It will be a great opportunity to show your kids that the spirit of Christmas is more about giving than it is about receiving.
