Jacksonville Jaguars Transform Stadium to Make Saints Feel at ‘Home’ [VIDEO]
New Orleans was scheduled to open their 2021-22 season this weekend at home in the Superdome, but due to the power outages in the New Orleans area after Hurricane Ida, the Saints will open their season in Jacksonville this Sunday afternoon.
This game, which airs on FOX at 3:30 pm, is technically a "home game" for the Saints and the crew at TIAA Bank Field is doing its best to make it feel like home for New Orleans.
As you will see below, the scoreboards in the stadium are in Saints colors and the ground crew in Jacksonville has painted the Saints logo on the field.
And while this may not be home for the Saints, we still applaud Jacksonville for going beyond the call here to do this for the Saints.
New Orleans has been preparing for the season in Texas, but due to a scheduling conflict, the Saints were unable to stay in Texas and play their first game in AT&T Stadium.
Now, the mayor of New Orleans did say this week that the city hopes to have the Saints back in the dome by week four of the season, and that is when New Orleans hosts the New York Giants (Oct. 3).
Check out the stadium in Jacksonville as the Saints prepare to "host" Green Bay this Sunday.
