Former Louisiana Police Officer Arrested on First-Degree Rape Charges
A former New Roads, Louisiana police officer was arrested on Saturday, July 20, and charged with multiple sex crimes involving children.
According to reports, Kedreyon Williams was arrested by the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office for several offenses.
The charges against Williams include:
- First-degree rape of a victim under 13
- First-degree rape while armed with a dangerous weapon
- Indecent behavior with a juvenile
- Pornography involving a juvenile

Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff Rene Thibodeaux issued a statement saying the New Roads Police Department has asked the sheriff's office to investigate possible charges against the officer.
According to New Roads Police Chief Cedrick Epps, Williams had not been employed by his department since his tenure as chief began in March 2024.
He also confirmed that Williams was a part-time officer with the New Roads Police Department, but Epps did not have the exact dates of his employment.
No other information is available at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
