A new study has revealed that Louisiana is in the top 10 for best states in the United States to work from home.

The list was put together by Desky, an ergonomic furniture brand, which looked at data on internet speeds, electricity costs per kilowatt-hour, and remote job openings in each state to find out which states are the best for working from home.

“Working from home has become a widespread thing not only in the U.S. but across the globe; even the ‘norm’ for certain companies,” said Justin Marshall, founder of Desky. “In most cases, it is cheaper than being in the office through the lack of commuting."

Where did Louisiana rank on the list?

Louisiana came out as the ninth-best U.S. state to work from home.

According to the study, Louisiana has an average internet speed of 324.9 megabytes per second, electricity costs at 9.37 cents per kilowatt-hour, and 11 remote job openings per 10,000 residents.

Oh, in case you were wondering, the worst state to work from home is Hawaii.

That state has average internet speeds of 221.4 Mbps, electricity costs of 32.76 kWh, and nine remote vacancies per 100,000 people.
