Louisiana Hit By an Earthquake on Thursday Morning
We don't get to use these types of headlines very often, but an earthquake shook northern Louisiana early Thursday morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that there was a 3.3 magnitude earthquake southeast of Uncertain, Texas, at 6:15 am. They also said the earthquake had a depth of five kilometers, or about three miles beneath the surface.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near the Texas-Louisiana line and the effects of it were felt in several towns around Shreveport.

The epicenter was about 25 miles from Shreveport in Harrison County. According to USGS, residents of Shreveport, Mooringsport, Oil City, and Benton reported feeling the earthquake.
There have been some videos posted online that show the effects of the mild quake.
