It was a full-circle moment for authorities in this small Louisiana town.

According to a release from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of a male sitting in a tree trying to flag down drivers on I-310 around mile marker 4 in St. Rose.

The person who made the call to 911 told dispatchers that the man claimed he was running from police when he ended up stuck in a tree.

Once deputies arrived, it was soon realized that the man was indeed the same suspect who "fled from a local agency in a vehicle that was found abandoned on Interstate 310."

Fortunately, they were able to help the man out of the tree where St. Charles Parish Emergency Medical Services "responded to check the male for injuries."
