Nationwide Deodorant Recall – 67,000 Cases Sold
(KMDL-FM) This is the time of year when deodorant is no joking matter for people in Texas and Louisiana. In Dallas and Fort Worth, the afternoon temperature will be close to 97 or 98 degrees. In New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette, the temperature will be just a few degrees cooler.
But in both locations, Louisiana and Texas, you can count on the humidity to bring the feels-like temperature well into the triple digits. That's why so many places in the Gulf South are under a Heat Advisory for today and the next several days.

Naturally, when the temperatures go up, our bodies start to sweat. That sweat, combined with naturally occurring bacteria combine to creates the scent that we commonly refer to as B.O. In recent years, there has been a major push for deodorant manufacturers to not just focus on the armpits but more so on all-over odor protection.

And when it comes to protection from wetness and odor, many Americans reach for products offered by Pennsylvania-based A.P. Deauville. They are the parent company behind the products that are being recalled.
What Brand of Deodorant is Being Recalled at Walmart, Amazon, and Dollar Tree?
The brand offers deodorants under the Power Fresh brand. Among the products being recalled are:

What is the Reason For the Nationwide Deodorant Recall?
The issue with the product has something to do with the deviations in the Current Good Manufacturing Practices that all companies must adhere to. There must have been some issue in that realm that gave the company, A.P. Deauville, reason to request the recall.
If you are in possession of one of the recalled products, the Food and Drug Administration suggests that you discontinue use and discard the product immediately. If possible, you could return the recalled products to the store where they were purchased for a refund or replacement items.
