
Products Sold at Lowe’s, Home Depot Recalled – Major Burn Hazard
(KMDL-FM) The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued an urgent recall for a popular home product that was sold at Lowe's, Home Depot, and on websites nationwide. The reason for the recall is a burn hazard.

The recall involves more than 174,000 gas ranges that many of you could have in your homes right now. The CPSC has listed details of the recall and the steps you need to take in order to repair, replace, or be reimbursed for the recalled product.
Why Are Gas Ranges and Ovens Being Recalled?
The specific issue with the recalled ranges is this. The CPSC is reporting that the ovens in the ranges can experience delayed ignition. This delay in igniting the oven's bake burner poses a risk of injury. Specifically, a risk of a burn injury.

The manufacturer says they have been notified of 30 reports of burn injuries that could be associated with the ignition delay. Those injuries are included in more than 60 different reports that the CPSC and the manufacturer have been made aware of.
What Brand of Range Has Been Recalled?
The product in question is manufactured by the Electrolux Group. The brand is Frigidaire. The recalled products are gas ranges sold under the Frigidaire brand. Here is a list, from the CPSC, of the models currently involved in the recall.
This recall involves Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, and Frigidaire Professional Gas Ranges Models FCFG3083AS, FCRG3083AD, FCRG3083AS, GCFG3060BD, GCFG3060BF, GCFG3070BF, GCRG3060BD, GCRG3060BF, PCFG3080AF, FCFG3062AB, FCFG3062AS, FCFG3062AW, FCRG3051BB, FCRG3051BS, FCRG3051BW, FCRG3052BB, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3052BW, FCRG3062AB, FCRG3062AS, FCRG3062AW, FCRG306LAF, and GCFG3059BF, within the serial number range of VF52200000 through VF54399999. The model and serial numbers are printed on a nameplate located in the drawer beneath the oven.

The recalled products were sold between June 2025 and January 2026. The prices of the recalled products range from $630 to $2,700.
What Do I Do If My Range/Oven Has Been Recalled?
If you have the recalled product in your home, you are asked to stop using the ovens in the recalled ranges. You will need to contact the Electrolux Group for a free repair. Electrolux Group will provide professional home installation of a new bake burner at no cost to the consumer.

The recall notice pointed out that consumers can still safely use the stove top burners of the range. The recall issue is confined to the oven and the bake burner specifically.
