Family Dollar Store Recalls Hundreds of Items Sold in Louisiana
Shoppers in Louisiana are a savvy bunch. It's in our DNA that we hunt, forage, and find the very best deals on the things we need for our families and our homes. For a lot of us in Louisiana we can find those things we need at a reasonable price at Family Dollar Stores.
I know you know the Family Dollar Store. The retailer has locations in more than 200 communities across Louisiana. Heck, in the Lafayette, Louisiana area there are 11 locations. And that's not counting the locations that are in the surrounding communities of Carencro, Youngsville, Broussard, and Scott.
If you're a shopper of Family Dollar or have just popped in for a few things because it was convenient over the past few weeks there is a recall you need to be aware of. Unlike most recalls where a single item or a few versions of a single item have been recalled. This recall literally affects hundreds of items that are sold throughout the Family Dollar Store footprint.
According to the FDA, Food and Drug Administration recall, the items in question are being recalled because they were stored outside of labeled temperature requirements. The items in question were shipped to Family Dollar Store locations in Louisiana and 22 other states between June 1, 2023, and September 21, 2023. It is believed these items could have still been on the shelves for consumers to purchase as late as October 4th.

Some of the items on the list include toothpaste, pain relievers, mouthwash, enemas, muscle creams, headache powders, antacids, and a lot more. Basically, any item you might have in your home's medicine cabinet or in your home's "first aid drawer" is what you'll see on this list.
Chances are if you shopped at a Family Dollar Store within the past month and a half you have these recalled items in your home. As of now, Family Dollar has not received any consumer complaints on any of the items in question. The recall is being fostered out of an abundance of caution.
If you have recalled items in your home it is suggested that you not use them but before you discard them you'll want to call 844-636-7687. That's Family Dollar customer assistance. They can advise you on any replacement or refund you might be owed.
