Alexandria Zoo Announces 2025 Holiday Light Safari Dates

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KMDL-FM) - The Christmas season is here, and no doubt one of the things that is fun for the entire family is getting out and looking at holiday lights. If you don't mind a little bit of a road trip, there's a really cool display to check out in central Louisiana.

The Alexandria Zoo is about to kick off its annual Holiday Light Safari, where the grounds are filled with Christmas lights so you and the family can make memories that will last a lifetime.

The Alexandria Zoo's website sums up what you can expect to see as follows:

As you stroll the Zoo’s illuminated pathways, you'll encounter playful lighted animal figures that capture the imagination and a symphony of colorful lights that dance and shimmer among the trees.

The Holiday Light Safari will open at 5:30 pm with last entry at 8:00 pm. The festivities will shut down at 9:00 pm.

Here are all the dates for this year's event:

November 28 & 29
December 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, 22-23, 26-27

Admission is $12 for adults and teens, while children ages 2 to 12 cost $10.
