Suspect Attempts to Steal From ATM at Louisiana Bank
Police in Lafayette, Louisiana are looking for a man after he was seen attempting to steal or rob an ATM from a local bank.
According to Lafayette Police, this attempted robbery happened at the Catalyst Bank location at 914 South College Road in Lafayette.
The man was seen with a saw as he exited the vehicle, but he was not able to get away with money or the machine. The attempted robbery occurred at 4 am on Saturday, July 12.
Now, police are asking the public if they recognize the man in these photos. He was driving a white car with a Tennessee license plate as he attempted to rob the machine.
KLFY-TV 10 reports that when the man attempted to cut through the machine, the vibration mechanism inside the machine alerted the police, but the would-be robber left the scene before police arrived at the bank.

The out-of-state license plate on this vehicle reads, 547-BLLH.
