Louisiana Patient With Sickle Cell Gets Surprise Tickets to See Taylor Swift
A patient from Baton Rouge, Louisiana with sickle cell disease is heading to the Superdome this weekend to see Taylor Swift.
12-Year-Old Kelsey Farris was diagnosed with the painful disease not long after birth and she continues to receive treatment for her condition at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Well, when doctors found out that she loves the pop icon Taylor Swift, they got together and got Kelsey suite tickets to see Taylor Swift in Dome.
According to NOLA.com, Kelsey has the most severe form of the disease and she is often in excruciating pain. Knowing that doctors and others at the New Orleans medical facility said that there was no one more deserving of these tickets.
While Kelsey is not in remission yet, doctors are hopeful and say that she is on her way to feeling better soon.
Here's the moment Kelsey found out that she was going to one of Taylor Swift's concerts in the Superdome.
The pop icon is on the Eras Tour and she is scheduled to perform three sold-out shows this weekend in New Orleans. It is estimated that the tour will bring in over $300 Million to the city.
