Louisiana Child Dies After School Bus Runs Over Him

A seven-year-old student has died in Louisiana after the bus he was exiting ran over him.

WBRZ reports that the accident happened in Montegut, a town southeast of Houma, on Thursday afternoon.

Jeremiah Falgout departed the bus and the driver reportedly continued on the route and that is when Falgout was hit by the bus and critically injured.

He was transported to a hospital where he later passed away.

No one else in this incident was injured and State Pollice does not believe impairment played a role in this accident.

Our thoughts are with Jeremiah's family and friends during this very difficult time.
