Football in South Louisiana is serious and when there's a game, nothing will stop players from being with their team, not even a wedding reception.

Many wait all year for the return of football season and no one looks forward to it more than players, and when it comes to being with their teammates on game day, nothing will stop them.

One young man who plays for Acadiana High had to adjust his schedule after their game was re-scheduled due to Hurricane Francine. Braxton Scriber was set to be in his big brother's wedding and when the game got re-scheduled, it just so happened to fall on the day of the wedding.

Luckily, Braxton could still be part of the ceremony, but then he was rushed to the game to be with his teammates.

His mother tells me that after the game, which Acadiana High won, Braxton was rushed back to the wedding reception venue in time to celebrate a moment with his brother and sister-in-law. And while the reception may have officially been over, that didn't stop Braxton from hugging his family while in the uniform he wore that night.

Check out this pretty special moment that was all caught on camera as the sweaty football player returned after the game. And yes, he even showed up with knee braces and all on, he had no time to remove anything other than his helmet after the game.

My favorite part was at the end of this video when Braxton picked up the bride in the form of a celebration, much like she scored the game-winning touchdown.
