(Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Police in Lake Charles have arrested a man after he allegedly poured bleach into a water bottle and gave it to the person he was caring for.

Police say that 30-year-old Reginald Wilson poured bleach into a water bottle and gave it to Marshal Huntsberry, a 48-year-old who is physically and mentally handicapped.

Acadiana News First reports that once the handicapped man drank from the contaminated bottle, he noticed that it did not taste correct, and he contacted family members.

A family member then confronted Wilson, and he reportedly admitted to adding bleach to the water bottle.

Heaven on Earth Home Health Agency, which assigned Wilson to this patient, was contacted, and Wilson was forced to leave the property before police arrived. That didn't stop authorities from finding him, and LCPD later arrested him.

According to the news report, once police located and arrested Wilson, he was charged with aggravated battery, cruelty to the infirm, and mingling of harmful substances. They booked him at the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.

The familly of the patient in this case says that he is okay after consuming the bleach in the water bottle.
