Powerball Jackpot Hits $410 Million And Dreams Come Alive

It's been a long time since I have been having dreams about winning a big lottery jackpot. The prizes have not been getting that big lately. But that's changing. The Powerball jackpot is now pretty darn big and I'm getting my hopes up.

There was no big winner in the Wednesday night drawing, so that means the jackpot for Saturday night climbs to $410 million dollars. The lump sum, one time payout is close to $185 million.

Here’s a list of the top 20 prizes from Powerball and Mega Millions:

1. $2.04 billion, Powerball was won by one ticket in California on November 8, 2022.

2. $1.765 billion Powerball won by one winning ticket in California on October 11, 2023.

3. $1.602 Mega Millions August 8, 2023 won by one ticket in Florida.

4. $1.586 billion Powerball January 13, 2016. There were 3 winning tickets for this prize. These tickets were purchased in Tennessee, Florida, and California. Each had the option to take a lump sum of $327.8 million.

5. $1.537 billion Mega Millions won by one winning ticket in South Carolina.

6. $1.350 billion Powerball was won by Charlie Saephon of Portland, Maine in the April 6, 2024 drawing. Lump sum payout is $422 million.

7. $1.337 billion Mega Millions was won by one ticket in Illinois on July 29, 2022.

8. $1.326 Mega Millions was won by one ticket in Oregon on April 7, 2024.

9. $1.269 Mega Millions was won by one ticket in California on December 27, 2024.

10. $1.130 Mega Millions is won by a ticket in New Jersey.
