Being old has its advantages. For starters, you're brighter than most of us. You can say what's on your mind, and get away with it. People let you have your way because you're their elder. Best of all, you get free stuff all the time!

Being a senior citizen is really like having a superpower. Last time I checked, all heroes deserve to be honored. Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 Mayor Nic Hunter presents, 'Senior Citizen Fun Day' at the Lake Charles Civic Center in the Exhibition Room from 9 am - 1 pm. Calling all Lake Charles seniors! This is your day. Enjoy fun-filled activities of fellowship and a delicious catered meal.

Come out and join other seniors in the community for exciting games and plenty of door prizes. Play The Price Is Right beginning at 9 am. At 10 am try your luck and play bingo! The City of Lake Charles is celebrating SWLA Lake Charleselders at the Lake Charles Senior Citizen Fun Day!
