Today is the biggest day of the Mardi Gras season in Southwest Louisiana! Head out to enjoy all of the festivities, as there is plenty to take part in. In case you didn't know, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and the Office of Juvenile Justice Services are once again providing a great way for families to participate in Carnival.

Stop by The Mardi Gras Zone, a family-friendly area that's tobacco and alcohol-free and is set up for kids, tweens, teens, and their parents/guardians to have a good time. It's going to open from 11:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., today and is located on Ryan Street – in the parking lot between Pujo and Kirby Streets.
