City Of Lake Charles Halloween Attractions, Events & Activities

Let the Halloween festivities begin! There are so many family-friendly, even doggie-friendly, trick-or-treat events in Lake Charles. Kids in the surrounding area will be able to get some wear out of their costumes this year. This Fall Harvest Holiday season is off to a great start with several attractions and events that have opened early.

Below is a look at the Harvest Fest, bizarre and fall celebrations happening in the area. Also included are the citywide Halloween hours and several fun-filled, family-friendly activities and events in SWLA.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2023

• Movies Under The Stars - Coco  from 6:30 pm - 9 pm

• Halloween Fest at Red Cardinal - 12:30 PM - 3 PM
  109 S Adams St. in Welsh, LA

       Family-friendly fun featuring - A Pumpkin Painting Contest, Costume         Contest, Cupcake Decorating, Halloween Ceramic Painting, Face Painting, and a Photo OP Area. It also includes free Hot Dogs, Popcorn, and Cotton Candy.

• FUMCLC TRUNK OR TREAT - 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

  For a spooktacular night of fun. Wear your costumes, and enjoy candy, and hotdogs. We hope you bring your friends and family.

• We Rock the Spectrum - Halloween Bash

  Join a Family-friendly Halloween Bash with free food, games, trick-or-treating, and more!

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31, HALLOWEEN NIGHT 

• City of Lake Charles Trick-Or-Treat activities will end at 8 p.m.

Parents are encouraged to have their children home by 8:30 p.m. The only exception is if minors attend a supervised function sponsored by other parents or civic organizations.

• Prien Lake Mall Boo-Tastic Bash! - 5 PM - 7 PM

The City of Lake Charles’ will also partner with the Prien Lake Mall ( 496 E. Prien Lake Road), Vexus Fiber, and Healthy Blue to host the Boo-Tastic Bash! This offers parents and guardians a safe Halloween experience for the entire family.
