Everyone knows that Louisiana is overflowing with world-renowned seafood, Creole, and Cajun cuisine restaurants. Most tourists immediately think of New Orleans anytime they hear about Louisiana food.

That is not to say that some of the best food on the planet doesn't come from the Cresent City—because it does! But Louisiana cuisine is delicious period. There are a lot of mom-and-pop stores and dinners whose food is just as mouthwatering, or eatery that are just not as well known because of where they are located.

NUMBER 1 - THE CUB LOUNGE AND GRILLE - SHREVEPORT, LA

NUMBER 2 - DEARMAN'S - BATON ROUGE, LA

It was originally opened as a pharmacy and lunch counter in the 1950s and has never lost its nostalgia. They have the best burgers and shakes on the planet. This old-school dinner has been a staple of the community since then.
