KNGT - Louisiana is home to sites of the "worst coffee chain" in America. How much do people in Cajun Country adore coffee? I am aware that I need at least one cup per day. It's several cups a day, to be honest, especially considering my morning show hours.

Every year, Americans drink 400 million cups of coffee.

Americans consume 400 million cups of coffee annually, and coffee drinkers claim that if given the choice, they would sooner put on 10 pounds than give up coffee permanently, according to TCMA-Conseil.

"If you’re heading out to buy a latte, you may want to avoid these seven worst coffee chains," TCMA-Conseil writes in its report, "The 7 Worst Coffee Chains in America."
Louisiana is home to several locations of America's worst coffee chains.

7.Taco Bell
Coffee and Taco Bell don't go well together. Taco Bell's inclusion on this list is therefore not surprising. According to the TCMA, the coffee is frequently "quite bitter and low quality." (To be honest, I didnt even know Taco Bell sold coffee).

6.Burger King
Even though it could be challenging to locate Seattle's Best Coffee shops in Louisiana, you might have had a cup. That's because Seattle's Best Coffee is served at the majority of Burger King restaurants.

5.Seattle's Best Coffee
Louisiana is not home to any Seattle's Best Coffee outlets, however, you can purchase the brand at many grocery stores in the area. It is described as "terribly bitter or super watered down brew".

4.7-Eleven
According to TCMA, 7-Eleven's coffee is frequently "stale" and "burnt-tasting." You're in "better shape" if you can get a cup out of a fresh pot, they claim.

3.Starbucks
In spite of its "brilliant marketing," Starbucks coffee is "bland," according to TCMA. In Louisiana, there are around 84 Starbucks.

2.Tim Horton's
The Canadians love Tim Hortons. Luckily Louisiana does not have any locations so for now we are safe from bad coffee.

1.McDonalds
Due to the purported "cleanliness" of the McCafe coffee makers, McDonald's topped the list. In New York, there are around 226 McDonald's.

So, what's the takeaway here? If you’re in Louisiana and craving a good cup of joe, maybe skip the drive-thru and find yourself a locally-owned spot where the coffee doesn't taste like regret and reheated disappointment. And hey, if you're still getting your morning fix from Taco Bell, bless your heart. Just know your taste buds deserve better, and your caffeine addiction deserves some dignity. Now if y’all will excuse me, I need to go apologize to my stomach for that one time I drank gas station cappuccino on a dare.

15 Discontinued Snack Chips In Louisiana In 2025

Frito-Lay makes some of the most popular snacks in America, and it seems that every year, they introduce new twists on their top brands that feature unique flavors.

It can be fun to venture out of your comfort zone and try new things and those new things can sometimes become new favorites. However, there is no guarantee that the new snacks will stick around for very long, which can be disappointing.

Sporked recently uncovered 15 snacks that Frito-Lay plans on discontinuing in 2025, and they include some of my favorites. If some of your favorites are on this list, you better stock up if you still see them on store shelves and enjoy them while you can.

Perhaps if fans of snacks being discontinued protest, Frito-Lay will change its mind.
