Who’s Coming To Louisiana? Gary Goff Discusses 2024 National Signing Day For McNeese

On Wednesday, McNeese Head Football Coach Gary Goff announced new additions to the 2024 signing class. This includes both High School athletes and Transfer Portal additions.

There are certainly a few names that stand out with the 2024 signing class. The class includes guys transferring in from UL-Lafayette, Auburn, Mississippi State, SMU, UAB, Georgia Southern, and others.

Goff announced the signing of 10 mid-year signees in addition to the 19 signed back in December to bring the total amount to 29 new Cowboys to scholarships. Also on Wednesday, 13 high school players were added and will join the squad in the fall.

Head Coach Gary Goff stated while meeting with the media on Wednesday that he and his staff made the defense, particularly the defensive line, a priority when attacking the portal this go around. Goff also alluded to wanting to even out the roster a little more this year by grabbing some older guys through the portal so they don't end up in the same situation they were in last year with so much youth having to be thrown into action.
