It's finally Friday and the weekend is here. It looks like the weather will be great and will cooperate so that you can pick your poison on what to get out and do this weekend.
There are a bunch of concerts, sporting events, and events going on in Southwest Louisiana and Lake Charles this weekend. We did the leg work for you and have a list of things going on this weekend in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. Here ya go.
Wayne Toups will be performing at the Cowboy Block Party in Lake Charles on Friday night. The doors open at 6:00 pm and Wyane will hit the stage at 7:00 pm. The event takes place at the Grove on the corner of Common and McNeese Streets in Lake Charles and it is Free. Bring your lawn chairs and ice chests and enjoy. Here are the details.
Mr. Bills Seafood Express along with Gator 99.5 will have a VIP tailgate party at the McNeese tailgating area complete with a two-story VIP party deck and Johnny Jimenez playing live from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm before the game. They will have free hotdogs and live music. It is open to all ages and free to attend.
Geno Delafose and French Rockin' Boogie will be live at Linda's Lounge on Friday night. Linda's is located at 4338 Lake Street in Lake Charles. Geno and the boys will take the stage at 10:00 pm and the cover is $10 per person.
The Righteous Brothers with hits like Lovin’ Feelin’, Soul & Inspiration, and Unchained Melody will be live Friday night at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center in Lake Charles. The show starts at 8:30 pm.
The McNeese Cowboys football team will take on Nicholls in Cowboy's Stadium this Saturday night. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
The Dirty South Bull Riders 2nd annual youth bull riding will take place Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at The Burton Complex in South Lake Charles. Caden Gillard will be playing live that night. Above are all the details.
