KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Get ready to party like it's the 1970s! This Saturday, May 10th, from 2 to 6 PM, is the return of the Mrs. Roper Pub Crawl.

The International Order of Mrs. Ropers-SWLA Chapter is hosting this exciting event, which is all about having a wonderful time, wearing colorful clothing, and raising money for a worthy cause. You and your pals will visit a number of neighborhood bars throughout the crawl, each of which will have drink specials and door prizes.

Uncertain about what to wear? Get in touch with your inner Helen Roper now! Don your favorite vibrant kaftan, a large red wig, and not to mention the huge sunglasses. As the Ropers swagger around downtown Lake Charles, you'll blend in well.

The finest aspect? You'll be helping others while you're out having fun. The Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana will benefit from the event's proceeds. This implies that the money raised from your party will go toward supporting regional musicians, artists, and community initiatives that enhance our creativity and culture right here in Southwest Louisiana.

So how does this work?
One of the Downtown Pub Crawl Participants, Luna, Tia Juanita's, Panorama, or Pujo St Cafe, will be your starting point. Get your band, put on your Helen gear, and give your friendly Arts and Humanities Board Member a donation at the door, no matter how big or small. There will be a reward for Best Ms. Roper Drink Special, so make sure to sample all of the venue's "Drink Specials," which will be prepared in large quantities in advance for convenience of serving. At 5:30, we will all congregate in Luna's courtyard for a group photo and awards.
