Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - Two words every LSU Tiger football fan hates to hear, especially if the game is in Baton Rouge: early kickoff. In Louisiana, one of the things we value the most on game day is tailgating.

Whether it's tailgating at LSU by the stadium or starting a tailgate or party earlier at your house, Tiger fans hate early games. We all like to have the whole day to cook some food, watch other games during the day, and get primed up for the evening games.

In Baton Rouge, night games are a tradition at Tiger Stadium and a must for all LSU fans. It is very rare to see LSU have a game at home during the day. It is almost 97% always at night. Well, I guess unless you're struggling this season and are at the mercy of the television networks flexing he schedule to pick up the more desirable games for prime time.

This may have just been the case this week, as it was just announced that the LSU game in Baton Rouge against Arkansas on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, has been scheduled for an 11:45 am kickoff. The game will air on the SEC Network.

Yuck says just about every LSU fan out there right now. This means if you are planning to go to the game in Baton Rouge and want to do any sort of tailgating, you will need to get there by sunrise. If not, you will risk getting stuck in traffic going to the game and may not make it for kickoff.

For home viewers, I guess no LSU party will be taking place, as you will probably still be in your PJs and watching the game while drinking your coffee. Either way, a day game in Baton Rouge is just wrong, and social media exploded with comments from fans that we won't repeat here.
