These Are the 10 Worst Places to Live in Louisiana, Ranked

🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Louisiana — A new list from RoadSnacks.com looked at cities all across the Bayou State and has ranked the ten worst places to live here in Louisiana. They based it on things like jobs, income, poverty, crime, and home prices. Now i know this doesn’t mean these towns don’t have good people, so don't hate me when your town makes the list.

Top 10 worst Towns in Louisiana

Crowley
At number ten, Crowley completes the list. It faces above-average crime, high poverty, and poor incomes.

Leesville
Leesville is ranked ninth. An Army town I figured it would not even make this list. It seems to have made the list because of its low median income and crime problems.

Eunice
With its high unemployment rate and large number of people living in poverty, Eunice comes in at number eight.

Breaux Bridge
Even though its the Crawfish and Cajun entertainment Capital of Louisiana, it continues to struggle with crime and slow job growth.

Ville Platte
Sixth place went to Ville Platte. Over 40% of the population lives in poverty, and it has one of Louisiana's highest unemployment rates.

Marksville
The fifth place on the list is Marksville. Although it's not as bad as some other towns, it faces poverty, lacks of funding for schools, and offers few job prospects.

Bastrop
Bastrop comes in at number four. Its low income is one of the lowest in the state, and its crime rate is highest.

St. Martinville
This town came in third place, it suffers from a low income and a high unemployment rate.

Opelousas
Second place. The city has a low median income of about $34,000, a high crime rate, and a poverty rate of almost 40%.

Bogalusa
As the worst location to live, Bogalusa topped the list. Many families there live below the poverty level, and the unemployment rate is significant. Home prices are low, and crime is a major worry.

WHAT IT MEANS
After reading this list and the reasoning behind how this Top 10 was made it really seems like they based alot of this off the poverty level. I for one grew up on the poorer side of life as a kid and I can assure you my home was not the worst place to live. But apparently a super NASA Computer came up with these results. Please take it with a grain of salt.
