If you are a frequent shopper at Walmart you might want to pay attention to this recall especially if you buy this type of apple juice. In this day and age, when you go to the grocery store, you try and save some money any way you can.

Walmart has its generic brand of products that are usually significantly cheaper which attracts shoppers because they can usually save a decent amount of money when shopping for their family. The generic Walmart brand we are talking about of course is Great Value.

Groceries prices are so high nowadays and if you can save a dollar on an off-brand, you probably are taking that opportunity to do so. Walmart is known for having its Great Value brand on thousands of items including things like cheese, milk, bread, pasta, meats, frozen dinners, cases of water, snacks and the list goes on and on.

It allows shoppers to get the products they want without paying the name-brand prices because Walmart brands are usually significantly cheaper. If you are a frequent shopper of the Great Value products then you need to check your refrigerator for the Great Value Apple Juice sold in Walmart stores.

Walmart just announced that they are recalling ten thousand cases of its eight-ounce Great Value Apple Juice due to elevated levels of arsenic found in the product. Walmart says they have removed the product from the stores and are investigating the matter.

We did some investigating and found that none were sold in Louisiana but they were sold in Mississippi so for you folks on the East side of Louisiana, you should be aware just in case you may have bought some while on a trip into Mississippi.

We also know that a bunch of folks from Louisiana took trips to Alabama and Florida for beach vacations over the summer and may have bought the product too so here's a heads up.
