In Louisiana, we love the great outdoors. We love being out on the water or being in the woods. It's our happy place for most and with all of our beautiful waterways, marshes, and piney woods, it makes for a great place to be an avid outdoorsman.

We love wetting a line trying to catch that trophy bass or we love hunting in the marsh to snag us some ducks, or even being in the woods getting us some squirrels to make a gravy. The most important part of all that is safety!

That is why the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office holds Hunter Safety courses several times a year to make sure that not only do you practice safety while hunting but for others to practice that same thing.

The CPSO is holding said classes in February of 2024 to have you prepared for the hunting season and to give you the ins and outs of what to do and not to do.

This is also a perfect course for those first-time hunters. You know the kiddos. This course is specifically there to educate kids 10 and older. So if you have a first-time hunter this year and they are 10 or older, then you want to sign up for this FREE course today.
