Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - In Louisiana, there are a few things we love to do on our weekends off. We love to cook, we love to dance, we love to see and hear live music, and we love to be outdoors.

Well, all those things are coming together in late March of this year, with the annual Jamabalya cookoff coming back to Lake Charles. Jellystone RV Park and Resort has announced the return of its Jamabalya cookoff in late March, featuring a Grammy Award-winning artist set to play live.

Can you cook? How about jambalaya? If you think yours is the best, then enter the cookoff taking place on Saturday, March 28th, at Jellystone RV Park and Resort in Lake Charles. That day, the park will be filled with campers, tents, and cast-iron pits as people fire up the pot to show off their cooking skills, looking to take home the first-place trophy.

After a great day of food, music, and fun, get ready for the nighttime finale as Grammy Award Winner Steve Riley and his band, the Mamou Playboys, hit the stage under the pavilion at the park. Steve and the band will play you all of your favorite traditional Cajun music.
