Lake Charles Burger Restaurant Shuts Down for Good
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - If you are driving down Ryan Street in Lake Charles and see something that looks a little different, you will be right. You may notice a familiar burger joint has closed, and its signs have been taken down.
The Five Guys burger location on Ryan Street in Lake Charles, next to Wing Stop, is no longer. We were surprised that this restaurant, known for its burgers and fries, had shut its doors.

We were sent a picture of the front of the store, and you can clearly see that the signs have been removed. We asked on Social Media if anyone had any idea why the restaurant closed. We had some say that they thought it wasn't a permanent thing, while others talked about how high the prices were for the food, and were not surprised that it shut down.

We also had one person send us a picture of the notification that was posted on the front door of the restaurant. It looks like Five Guys shut its doors permantly as of Sunday, January 18th, 2026.
We’re not exactly sure when this Five Guys location opened in Lake Charles, but we do remember that when country singer Thomas Rhett came to town for a show with us in 2013, we picked up food from there. That means Five Guys has been serving Lake Charles for at least 13 years.
We also had people chime in on social media and say that other locations had been closed in their area, so this may be a nationwide thing.
