Lake Charles 2024 Mardi Gras Parade Schedules And Times

This is the week we have all been waiting for, Mardi Gras week the celebration gets underway this Friday, February 9th, and will run through Tuesday, February 13th, 2024 which is Mardi Gras day.

On Friday, the Merchant's Parade will be held in Lake Charles. The floats will line up and the parade will start at 7:00 pm. This year's Grand Marshal is Chad Pousson who is part owner of Mr.Bill's Seafood Express in Lake Charles.

On Sunday, the Children's parade will take place but the time has been moved up due to it also being Superbowl Sunday this year. Ryan Street will be closed down starting at 11:30 am Sunday to get ready for the Children's Parade which will take place with an earlier starting time of 1:00 pm and start at the Lake Charles Event Center.

On Tuesday, February 13th it will be Mardi Gras Day. Ryan Street in Lake Charles will be closed down at 1:30 pm.

There are a few parades scheduled that day. There will be a Second Line Stroll starting at 1:00 pm followed by the Jeeps On Parade which will start at 2:30 pm. Then at 3:00 pm, it's the Motor Gras parade before the Grand Daddy of them all, The Krewe of Krewe's Parade starting at 5:00 pm.

The Merchant's Parade, Children's Parade, and the Krewe of Krewe Pardes will start at will leave the Lake Charles Civic Center and head East down Mill Street then turn right on Ryan Street Downtown and head South down Ryan Street and end in South Lake Charles at Sale Road.
