[KNGT-FM] This past weekend, one of the biggest festivals in the Southeastern United States took place in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The 36th annual Marshland Festival got underway on Friday, July 25, and ran through Saturday, July 26th, inside the Lake Charles Event Center coliseum. The festival featured two days of non-stop music on two stages.

We gave away backstage passes all last week for listeners to meet the boys, and they were just awesome guys to us and the listeners and the fans. They took time to talk to each and every person, sign autographs, and take pictures with them.

The Lake Charles Event Center was jammed packed Saturday evening in anticipation of John Foster and Dillon Carmichael's performances. John Foster was up first, playing from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm. He told us earlier in the week that he had hand-selected every song he was going to perform live Saturday night himself. He said it was very important to him to play country music and songs that represented him and the genre.

We took a video of John performing live Saturday night, and here he is performing Check Yes or No and Jailhouse Rock.

The entire show was terrific, and he did an outstanding job. He is a terrific singer and highly entertaining. John Foster's next tour stops will be here in Louisiana, in Baton Rouge, where he is scheduled to play two shows in a row. You can follow John and his career here.
