The buzz around music city Nashville, Tennessee was that country music legend Garth Brooks was going to be opening his bar on Broadway in Downtown Nashville. The bar has been under construction for a while now and last Thursday, March 7th, 2024, the bar had its grand opening.

The bar on Broadway in Nashville is called Friends In Low Places of course after one of Garth's biggest hits. We were in Nashville back in October of 2023 and saw first-hand the construction of the bar underway. We snapped a picture of it from the rooftop of the Second Fiddle bar across the street.

Coincidentally were we at the Second Fiddle bar on Broadway to go watch and hear Iowa, Louisiana native Chase Ryan perform there. Who would have thought that in a few short months, Chase would be playing and performing live with his band for the grand opening of Garth Brooks' new bar across the street? Here is a picture of me and Chase that day.

Chase is from right here in Southwest Louisiana and hails Iowa, Louisiana, and is the son of proud parents Johnny and Cathy Guillory. Johnny served as the president of the Iowa Rabbit Festival for many years. Johnny and his wife Cathy are involved in so many events in the Iowa area including volunteering for fundraisers.

Before Chase left Iowa to become a country music artist, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Once out of the service, Chase moved to Nashville to fulfill his dreams of becoming a country music artist.

Well, it looks like big things are starting to happen as Chase Ryan and his band Broken Arrow were honored and had the privilege to play on the grand opening night from 10:00 pm to 2:00 am at one of the most legendary country music artist bars.

From what we understand, Garth was on hand for the grand opening so not only did Chase get to play opening night he performed in the presence of one of the all-time country music greats.

We are so proud to see a Southwest Louisiana boy chasing his dreams and making big leaps and moves in his career. We wanted to share with you just how cool this is for our area and for Chase, one of our native sons.
