I-210 LIGHTING PROJECT NEAR COMPLETION

The DOTD is close to wrapping up the project on top of the 210 bridge in Lake Charles. For a few months, the left lane was closed down traveling westbound due to the installation of new light poles to add lighting again to the top of the bridge after Hurricane Laura took those out a few years ago.

The project is close to its conclusion, but it looks like there will be one more day of closures next week.

DOTD says the project is all about keeping drivers safe, even if it causes some short-term delays. In a statement, the department thanked drivers for their patience and reminded everyone to stay alert in the work zone.
