Public Meeting Set on I-10 Bridge Replacement Timeline
Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - More progress is being made as the I-10 Bridge replacement project is in its beginning stages. So far, we have seen the DOTD start working in Westlake, Louisiana.
For the past couple of months, the Westlake exit on I-10 Westbound has been closed so that the DOTD can start moving the pipes that are currently elevated over the roads by the current bridge.

More phases are yet to come as all the businesses and buildings currently on the I-10 feeder road leading up to the bridge will be demolished to make way for the new bridge construction, which includes us here at the radio station.
That's right, all the businesses like our radio station, the convenience stores, hotels, and restaurants currently on North Lakeshore Drive (Feeder road) will all be torn down to make way for the construction of the new I-10 Bridge.
