Lake Charles Hosts Roast for McNeese AD Heath Schroyer
Lake Charles, Louisiana (KNGT-FM) - If you're looking for an evening full of laughter while supporting a great cause, join the Calcasieu Area Council, Boy Scouts of America this week for a night of roasting the Athletic Director at McNeese!
After Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020, McNeese AD Heath Schroyer jumped right in to help. Along with McNeese student-athletes, he was out in the community tarping roofs, clearing debris, and handing out supplies. His dedication earned him the Southland Strong Community Service Award, and now, he’s getting roasted in the best way possible.
Guests can expect a night full of funny stories, good food, and cold drinks. And while Heath may be the one sweating in the hot seat, everyone else will get to relax and enjoy the show. Best of all, the event raises money for the Calcasieu Area Council of Scouting America.
Scouting America is all about helping young people grow into strong leaders by teaching life skills, building character, and encouraging confidence. The money raised from this event will stay right here in Southwest Louisiana, supporting programs that give local kids opportunities they might not get anywhere else.
