[KNGT-FM] -- The weekend is finally here, folks. Time to throw caution to the wind and have some fun. If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, then you are in luck. One of the biggest festivals in Southwest Louisiana is taking place this Friday and Saturday, plus a big comedy concert is going down in Lake Charles.

So, where are you going? What do you want to do? That is where we come in. Here are some of the things happening in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana this weekend.
The 2025 Marshland Festival is taking place at the Lake Charles Event Center inside the main coliseum with two days of live music on two stages. American Idol finalist and Louisiana Boy John Foster, Country music recording artist Dillon Carmichael, Dustin Sonnier, Keith Frank, Rusty Metoyer, Steel Shot, and so many more will be performing live. Comedian, actor, and Singer Rodney Carrington will be live in Lake Charles this Saturday night at L'Auberge Casino Resort. Tickets for the show are limited, and you can get all the info here.
The 90s rock band, The Wallflowers, will be live in Lake Charles, performing at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center. The show is this Saturday at 8:00 pm, and tickets for the show can be purchased on the Golden Nuggets website here.
