Enter The 2023 Iowa Rabbit Festival Cookoff In Lake Charles

The 2023 Iowa Rabbit Festival is coming our way on March 16th, 17th and 18th, 2023 in Lake Charles. The festival takes place at the Burton Coliseum in South Lake Charles and features three days of fun.

On Thursday, they will open the carnival. On Friday evening starts the first night of live entertainment inside the Burton. Then Saturday morning is the 2023 Iowa Rabbit Festival cookoff.

Do you like to cook? Do you like winning money? Well, then you need to enter the Iowas Rabbit Festival cookoff. You can win $500 for first place in the main dish or appetizer categories. You can also win $100 for the best-decorated cooking spot.

There are three places that win money in both the main dish and appetizer categories. You have the chance to win $500.00 1st place, $100.00 2nd place, and $50.00 3rd place in each category and bragging rights for an entire year.

8:00 AM - Cook-Off Teams Arrive for Check-in
9:00 AM Cooking begins
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Cook-Off Stage: Ganey Arsement
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Cook-Off Stage: Doc Wilder
1:00 PM First Wave of Dishes Turned in for Judging
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Cook-Off Stage: Zydecane
3:00 PM Winners Announced During Announcements
