Movies with the Lake Charles Mayor is taking place this Saturday at the Rosa Heart Theatre at the Lake Charles Event Center. The event is free and open to the public. This Saturday's movie will be the live-action adventure How to Train Your Dragon.

The Cameron Fishing Festival is taking place in Grand Chenier, Louisiana, this Friday through Sunday, August 7-9, with live music, food, and a lot of fishing. They will have Richard Lebouef and Jamie Bergeron headlining each night.

  • Friday night music with Layne Touchet at 6:00 pm, followed by Jamie Bergeron at 8:30 pm
  • Saturday music includes The Johnson Brothers' Band at 5:00 pm and Richard LeBouef at 8:30 pm.

The Gipsy Kings featuring Tonino Baliardo-Historia Tour is stopping at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center this Friday night, August 7th. They will take the stage at 8:30 pm that night. Tickets may still be available on the casino's website.

You can visit the Charlestown Farmers Market this Saturday in downtown Lake Charles, located at Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center. The weekly market brings together local growers, bakers, artists, and food vendors every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

Jellystone RV Park & Resort is inviting you to enjoy one last summer celebration with music, fun, and a Back-to-School Supply Drive to help local schools this Saturday, August 8th. Grammy Award winner Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band will also be performing live starting at 7:00 pm under the pavilion.
