FESTIVALS COMING UP IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA
- July 19th - Coushatta Crossroads Festival in Kinder, Louisiana
- July 25th-26th - Marshland Festival at the Lake Charles Event Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana

The Chicken Fest is back in Sulphur on Saturday, July 19 at the West Cal Arena & Events Center, and it’s shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. This fun-filled festival is perfect for the whole family and has everything from live music and great food to chicken races and even a pageant!
Gates open at 9:00 AM with vendor shopping and an artisan market. Kids can enjoy the Kid’s Coup Area, filled with games, inflatables, and even a chance to color their own Chicken Fest t-shirt. Starting at 10:00 AM, all activities kick-off, including chicken races, a video game trailer, and tasty concessions.
The schedule is packed with exciting events like the Corporate Chicken Derby, Cluck & Crow Contest, and the Wing Eating Competition. Don’t miss the Chicken Pot Pie Baking Contest or the always hilarious Chicken Pageants.
