Cajun French Music ‘Hall OF Fame’ Ceremony This Weekend In Lake Charles
Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - Yesterday, we had the pleasure of having a couple of people from the Lake Charles Chapter of the Cajun French Music Association in the studio to talk about their upcoming Hall of Fame ceremony and dance coming up in Lake Charles.
We talked with Mr. Shawn Saucier yesterday in the studio, who will be one of the inductees into the Hall of Fame this weekend. He has been playing Cajun music since 1978, and this weekend, he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He is definitely deserving.

This event and the Hall of Fame are near and dear to my heart. My father, Dave Soileau, was inducted into the Hall of Fame years ago, and in 2018, I was honored to be inducted into the special group of Cajun music legends as well. In the picture below, here I am with my Hall of Fame plaque, and my Dad, Dave, is pictured in the upper left corner.
The 2025 class of the Hall of Fame is set to be inducted this Saturday, November 22, 2025, here in Lake Charles, and the public is invited. It will take place at the CFMA building located at 3481 East Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
